Giving birth is painful, but I didn't feel exhausted or fatigued. I could feel the strength in my arms and legs. I was asked to move from one bed to another, and I was able to lift myself up and switch beds on my own. I didn't need anyone to carry me over. After giving birth, I realized that the speed of recovery depends on whether you're strong or weak, whether you're completely drained & exhausted after the immense 'workout' or not. If you're strong, then you feel okay after giving birth instead of being in agony.
